Weekly in-home visits

$140 for a four hour in home visit

The first few weeks and months can be an exciting and challenging time, filled with an array of emotions and questions.  This is the beginning of a new and wonderful journey for you and it is crucial for you to be able to rest and rejuvenate so that you can bond with and take care of your baby(S). Tara can help guide you through all of it. She’ll be with you every step of the way!  She will help you  navigate challenges that may come up, answer all your questions, provide education on newborn development, breastfeeding support, assist in creating a routine for your family that flows, promote intuitive parenting and provide emotional support for the whole family. Tara brings with her all of the wisdom she’s gained through her own life experiences and from each and every family she has provided support to.

Home visits include but are not limited to:

  • Education on newborn and maternal care
  • Modeling best practices for infant soothing, swaddling, feeding, diapering and babywearing
  • Processing your birth experience
  • Emotional support
  • Introduction to the abilities and talents of your newborn(s)
  • Breastfeeding support and education
  • Pumping and milk storage information
  • Demonstrate the how to’s of a successful bathtime
  • Bottle feeding techniques and instruction
  • Creating a restful and positive environment
  • Care for your baby(s) so you may eat, shower and nap
  • Assist in creating a routine
  • Information on infant and toddler development
  • Use of baby scale if desired
  • Shopping for groceries to prepare light meals and snacks
  • Accompany you to pediatrician or doctor appointments
  • Introduce parenting tips to help you learn new skills
  • Sibling adjustment techniques and education
  • Assist in organizing the nursery and home
  • Take care of baby’s laundry
  • General household management
  • Parenting strategies
  • Local referrals when needed
